brand new funky president

The good news for the United States - after January 20, George Bush will no longer be President. The bad news - he leaves behind a nation in tatters. The prize for whoever wins this Tuesday's election - the right to wrestle with a $11,000,000,000,000 budget deficit, the withdrawal of ground troops out of Iraq, shutting down Guantanamo Bay, all while seriously dealing with energy issues and implementing true immigration reform.

Outside of that, one thing for sure - we're going to be seeing a whole new world come November 5th. For the first time in years, I'm looking forward to it.

"Vote: the instrument and symbol of a freeman's power to make a fool of himself and a wreck of his country." - Ambrose Bierce

"An election is coming. Universal peace is declared and the foxes have a sincere interest in prolonging the lives of the poultry." - T.S. Eliot

"Under democracy one party always devotes its chief energies to trying to prove that the other party is unfit to rule - and both commonly succeed, and are right." - Henry Louis Mencken

"It makes no difference who you vote for; the two parties are really one party representing four percent of the people." - Gore Vidal

"Perhaps the fact that we have seen millions voting themselves into complete dependence on a tyrant has made our generation understand that to choose one's government is not necessarily to secure freedom." - Friedrich August Hayek

"If voting changed anything, they'd make it illegal." - Emma Goldman

"Democracy gives every man the right to be his own oppressor." - James Russell Lowell

"Voters quickly forget what a man says." - Richard M. Nixon

"Hell, I never vote for anybody, I always vote against." - W.C. Fields

"Our elections are free; it's in the results where eventually we pay." - Bill Stern

Alice Cooper still wants to be elected, although I totally disagree with his choice for 2008.

there was a quote from Edmund Burke's Reflections on the Revolution in France about democracy being the substitution of one king for the tyranny of millions

anyone know it precisely?
