the return of the friday five

Yep, it's time to bring back the Friday Five. Just to reiterate, these are songs that have been on my playlist of late, along with new discoveries that I'd like to share. So, without further ado, let's kick it off with some Clash. Do they need any introduction? I think not. CHEESEBOIGER!
Miniature Tigers: Cannibal Queen
G. Love & Special Sauce put forth the musical question many of you might be asking at 4:20. Just make sure to air out the room before moms comes home.
Ah, Yellowman. King of Toasting (the Reggae equivalent of rapping), his moniker comes courtesy of his albinism. This guy's trademark lewdness would put Redd Foxx to shame. You might remember this tune from Something Wild, which featured Melanie Griffith before she had her chin streched to her forehead.
I've already talked about Sonny Boy before. It heartens me to see he's still appreciated, his tunes already posted here are heavily downloaded, it's good to know people still enjoy music played from the heart. You can get Elvis Costello's version of Help Me here.
Enjoy the weekend, peeps. Hopefully, if this heatwave ever leaves SoCal, I might be able to as well.

The Clash: The Magnificent Seven - 8MBHere's a band I came across via web surfing and they knocked me out, they're definitely worth your time. Miniature Tigers hail from Phoenix, Arizona and just released a video full of win, directed by JD Ryznar of Yacht Rock fame and filmed at Ghostbusters HQ. All you LA readers can catch them this Saturday night at Spaceland.
