I love 'Know your chicken', and Cibo Matto in general. :)

I'll have you know that many times I've cruised Brooklyn for chicken! I need to post more Cibo Matto, they sure fit in well with food posts.

NICE set.

A friend of mine has a mania for versions of "Popcorn," of which there are too many.

Glad you enjoyed it. I think the first version of Popcorn is by The First Moog Quartet. I just watched Moog on Showtime and I highly recommend it - here's a commercial that's shown in the documentary.

As long as one does not get lost in the Chelsea Hotel... Thought the supermarket was bad.

The best part - it's still a seedy place for artists on the brink. This is pretty good: Living with Legends: Hotel Chelsea Blog

Sha, that is seedy. Why isn't this a tv show yet?

Wim Wenders? He's a good director. Here's the synopsis:
Tragi-comic, romantic whodunnit set in a run down hotel which plays host to mentally ill people too poor to afford medical insurance.

Sounds too lifelike for me.

The opening shot is a marvelous tracking shot down the building. As the protagonist jumps. It is a bit of a bummer, but well acted and directed.

Is this the one Bono financed? I remember reading something about that.

Beyond the U2, quite. It's a tragedy by the end, but nothing to make you want to jump in front of a train.

I really, really can't stand Bono. Tell me that *he* jumps in front of the train and I'll go see it.

Great song! Rick Miller hails from my way, here in Pacific Beach. We share a few mutual friends.

Aha, I knew he came from somewhere outside of the south, but wasn't sure exactly where. These days, he lives about an hour down the road from me in Mebane, NC.

In the 80s, he moved to North Carolina and got in on the Chapel Hill scene as it was taking off. He's a great guy, one of the people that you're glad to see do well.
